[🌞 #FFFTL] No... not an April Fool's joke, but a different kind of newsletter this week, plus a few key updates you won't want to miss

Tuesday, April 2nd - 2024 - This week our school is on break so no full rundown of events today. But there are several events that you won't want to miss.

  • Tortuga Festival will be taking place on Fort Lauderdale Beach on April 5-6-7. That means music and fun for some... lots of traffic for others. So avoid A1A if you can.
  • Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone is on the screen (April 5 and 6) with a live symphony experience at the Broward Center.
  • The Bonnet House Museum & Garden is having their annual Orchid and Garden Festival this weekend. This is both a fundraiser and a great place to buy or learn more about orchids and all kinds of blooms.
  • The Cey Adam's exhibit at MAD Arts opens on Saturday. If you don't immediately know the name, you will certainly recognize his iconic style having designed album covers for musical giants like Run-D.M.C., Beastie Boys, LLCool J, Public Enemy, The Notorious B.I.G., Maroon 5, and Jay-Z. He was also the Creative Director at DefJam Records, and now bringing his unique visuals to the interactive art museum in Dania Beach.
  • And lastly, the Morikami Gardens After-Hours program is starting this month, with special events every Thursday evening. Highlights will include Taiko Drumming and on the 18th - a special Harajuku Meets Otaku Fashion Show that celebrates the unique combination of Japanese anime and pop-culture.

See you all next week with a new set of podcast features and the full edition of the Family Friendly Fort Lauderdale newsletter!

Please note: If you think you are getting this email by mistake, you can unsubscribe with the button at the bottom of this newsletter.
